136th Canton Fair--funiture phase
The 136th Canton Fair was held from 15th October to 4th November, with the second phase kicking off on 23th October.
Data from the General Administration of Customs shows that from January to August this year, China's export value of furniture and parts reached 319.1 billion yuan, up 12.3% year-on-year. This figure reflects the enhanced competitiveness of China's manufacturing in the global market, as well as the ongoing quality improvement and upgrading of China's furniture industry supply chain.
In the furniture exhibition area of the Canton Fair, the reporter found that furniture products not only sought new designs on the exterior, but also integrated smart and technological elements into the products, continuously pushing Chinese brands towards the international market.
The reporter observed on site that the furniture exhibition area of the Canton Fair was not only a popular section, but also one where diverse designs blossomed. Some featured a fresh, natural wood style, incorporating bamboo strips, rattan weaving and other natural elements into the panels, which were both aesthetically pleasing and environmentally friendly. Others adopted an adorable cartoon style, using animal shapes and fluffy materials. There were also designs catering to the currently popular outdoor lifestyle trend.
